اعضای گروه راک ایرانی یلو داگز (سگهای زرد) که در فیلم "کسی از گربه های ایرانی خبر ندارد" به کارگردانی "بهمن قبادی" نیز حضور داشتند امروز صبح در آپارتمان خود در نیو یورک به قتل رسیدند. این گروه در سال های اخیر در بروکلین نیویوک فعالیت داشت. پلیس از انگیزه ضارب که عضو یک گروه موسیقی دیگر بود، اطلاعی ندارد. جسد ضارب در پشت بام پیدا شده است. به گفته مقامات او با شلیک گلوله به سرش خودکشی کرده است
Three members of Brooklyn indie band The Yellow Dogs were shot and killed, NBC New York reports. A fourth band member was shot twice and injured, but is expected to live.
The shootings took place early Monday morning in an East Williamsburg apartment building, where the band members lived together.
Several members of The Yellow Dog hailed from Tehran, Iran and relocated to the United States, where they were granted asylum in 2012. They played frequently at Santos Party House in Manhattan, appeared at SXSW, and had music featured in 2010 film No One Knows About Persian Cats.
